Lectors
Proclaiming the Word of God by reading scripture aloud during worship services.
About this ministry
Lectors serve a vital role in our worship by reading the appointed scripture lessons during Sunday services. Through their voices, the congregation hears the Old Testament, Epistles, and other readings that form the foundation of our worship.
Being a lector is a meaningful way to participate in worship and serve the community. Lectors are scheduled on a rotating basis and receive guidance on pronunciation, pacing, and the art of public reading.
If you have a clear speaking voice and a love for scripture, we'd love to welcome you to this ministry. Training and mentoring are available for newcomers.
